“This book is a recipe for surviving tragedy and trauma without having to resort to drugs and alcohol.”- Nancy Russell

“Leah is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met…It reminds me of the quote…..I once complained because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet….Leah, was born the daughter of a heroin addict. She was torn from her home and grew up in foster home after foster home..

At an early age she survived the deaths of her mother and father who both died due to the affects of drug abuse before she was twenty. Leah lost her sister to suicide, her brother to murder and a boyfriend in a car accident. That is just the beginning of the story. But through it all she remained one of the most amazing, kind people and beautiful souls that you could possibly imagine. Through it all she shares a message of joy, of love, of forgiveness and inner peace in the face of any external circumstances.” – Chris Howard – CEO, International Speaker & Best Selling Author

You are an amazing young woman and a great inspiration to me and I’m sure many others.” – Susan, Carlton

The Power Within, first published in 2010, contains 300 pages of insights into the ways in which we heal, transform and empower ourselves in the face of adversity and suffering.

The Power Within contains an autobiographical story in which a multitude of metaphors are found for not only overcoming adversity, but achieving ultimate empowerment.

First published as The Sacred Psychology of Healing, the book takes a look at that which is made possible through a shift of perspective to the blessings so often in disguise within our lives.

As people have shared their recovery stories from gripping anxiety, grief and depression, my faith in such inner work has grown stronger with the years. It is this inspiration that drives my ongoing work in the Mental Health space, as someone who has lost loved ones in such battles.

Since writing this book, I’ve had the honour of working with people from all walks of life in helping them overcome debilitating trauma, grief, anxiety, addiction and depression. Nothing brings me greater joy than knowing I have revealed one’s own potential for true fulfilment and spiritual peace.
